It's still a very functional scanner with the newer update level, but aside from newer car coverage and interface changes to make the software to appear more like Autel's own signature brand and not just copied OE, to avoid further litigation , the older car coverage allegedly lost some functions to placate OE manufacturers and possibly to tone it down to hype the newer Maxi Sys coding abilities as being superior. On an older car coverage with a DS 708 from 2014 (with OE logos) and a regular Maxi Sys today at 2016, I doubt if you could compare the coding ability between the 2 as minimum and advanced (at least with USA and Asian cars).

So what software version I can insert into the DS 708 that everything worked like before?                                                  

 If you didn't make back ups of you your older software versions , there is no way to get the older versions back from Autel.

 I asked what numbers of older versions I can copy to the SD card for normal operation , who tested older versions?
